Ruby Grewal is a corporate and litigation lawyer. Her practice consists of restructuring her client’s business’, assisting clients with their business or personal disputes as a result of an audit or reassessment with the Canada Revenue Agency, foreclosure matters, and builder’s liens. Ruby has acted for a wide range of clients from individuals to businesses and has appeared in front of the Provincial Court, Supreme Court, and the Tax Court of Canada.
In her corporate practice, Ruby helps individuals understand the advantages and disadvantages of incorporating a new business and provides advice to businesses and individuals on how to effectively restructure their corporations the correct way to create tax savings that are in line with the income tax act. Ruby also works with developers in the lower mainland to help structure group projects by creating joint venture agreements, corporate structures or partnership agreements to maximize tax savings.
In her litigation practice, Ruby focuses on working with her clients who are dealing with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) through an audit or reassessment by providing the necessary representation at the audit, appeal or tax court level. Further, Ruby has developed a foreclosure practice whereby she helps individuals or businesses who have lent money, by way of a mortgage, to get those funds back.
In her spare time she loves to explore the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. If Ruby’s not in the office, you can find her at your favourite local neighbourhood cafe or in the great outdoors going for a walk.
