Christopher Ness is a lawyer in the tax group at KSW Lawyers where he assists clients with corporate and personal tax planning.
Having joined the firm in April of 2021, Chris has quickly established himself as a valuable member of the KSW Lawyers team. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge, experience and a dedication to assisting clients with all aspects of corporate and personal tax planning. His abilities and commitment to his clients have made him highly regarded by both his colleagues and the clients he serves.
A Vancouver native, Chris completed his education at the University of British Columbia, where he obtained his Juris Doctor degree. Chris initially established his career in corporate law, where he advised on share purchase agreements, incorporation, shareholder and partnership agreements and commercial lease agreements. As his practice focus has narrowed, he now focuses on corporate and individual business tax planning. With his previous corporate law experience, Chris provides a well-rounded perspective on corporate and individual tax planning for businesses. This includes business reorganization, wealth succession and guidance for corporate transactions. He also offers valuable counsel to small business owners, assisting with their corporate and personal tax planning needs.
In his personal life, Chris enjoys giving back to his community. He has been actively involved with the BC SPCA and has volunteered at BC Children's Hospital through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. These causes hold great significance to him as he personally adopted his beloved Bernese Mountain Dog, Emily, from the BC SPCA and partnered with her in the Therapy Dog Program. When he's not practicing law or volunteering, Chris enjoys quality time with his current canine companion, Lucy, as well as her family and friends.
